A noble mage of Pandemoria with the tendency to pester everyone who might near him.
Cecil is a cheerful enigma. It's a rare occurrence indeed that he wears an expression other than a highly amused smile, even when engaging in dangerous investigations. Cecil is a generally easy-going, carefree man, although he does have some odd tendencies.
He's quite good at acting like he knows more than he does, and uses this to his own benefit in various situations. He often acts like he would be unaware of the appearance of his antics that are often strange to others. It is even hardly to see when he switches from seriousness to sarcasm. Therefore the term "devious merchant" would suit him perfectly.
Even though he radiates an atmosphere of calmness, Cecil becomes fascinated easily from everything, he is interested in, no matter how trivial it might be.
HISTORY
When Cecil was young he had never left his home country Pandemoria. Therefore he built up a small world around him, he used to terrify everyone. Indeed, he was a big troublemaker, though, there were certain reasons, why he used this method to get attention from people. Cecil was the youngest among his five siblings. There were no chances to arouse any interests.
One day he met a Pokémon - Drifblim. It didn't take a long time of bulding up a treasured friendship between him and this Pokémon. Unfortunately, his parents were against this ridiculous relationship and they banned Drifblim from the residency of the Cervantes. Cecil was boiled with rage, thus he ran away to look for his friend.
It was a day where a heavy thunderstorm broked over Pandemoria.
He accidently got lost and could not find back home, nor find Drifblim. Cecil was yielded to despair, while waiting for his friend for some days far from any civilization.
It took a long time, when Drifblim appeared. He was in mourning, seeing Cecil became like this, he decided to fuse with Cecil, in order not to leave him anymore, to be bonded with him in eternity.
Rejection and antipathy were the results of this fusion. From time to time Cecil realized that he would never be respected by his family, even though he put a lot of effort in his training to become a mage. That's why he often abused his skills because of lack of any attentions.
His frustration leaded him to leave Pandemoria for a while to broaden his horizons and to meet new people. On his way of exploration he became a salesman for the reason he often tells everyone:
"In this world, there're people who can't survive because of the cruelty of reality.
. . . I sell those people dreams."
