"A wanna-be delinquent on his way of becoming a real man."

Shinya is capable of portraying himself as n courageous and carefree individual. Being all manly, dangerous and strong - that's his way of life.

Since he is at the age of puberty, he may act really stupidly. Many people refer him as a trouble maker or a wanna-be delinquent - and yes, that's how it simply looks like:
Shinya often tries do be dominant and bossy, and is quick to anger when things don't go according to plan. He is like a ticking bomb - if you try to suppress or provoke him, he will reveal a bold and hot-tempered nature and kick your sweet ass.

He has zero respect for authority that has nothing to do with the yakuza. Using harsh and impolite language, regardless of whom he is speaking to, Shinya doesn't like to be ordered around unless you're his boss.

Nevertheless, Shinya is only acting like a stupid brat in order to gain respect and to defend himself - at least he thinks that's the only way. In fact, he displays a softer, kinder nature, and would always offer a hand to help people up; even if this may go against his pride.
If he picks up a fight, he tries not to exaggerate it. Shinya could never hurt other people seriously as he simply doesn't like seeing people cry.
In the end, he is just still too much of a child that is on its long way to become an adult.

* Due to his hard time in elementary school he became very self-confident. Shinya has no problems to get back on his feet even if he falls down many times.
* Shinya can endure a lot of pressure. He won't give up that easily.
* He's quite good at Taek Wondo. He believes that close combats would make him more badass like those kung fu heroes in action movies.
* And since he is good at martial arts, his agility is quite impressive.
* Loyality stresses his personality most. Shinya will never leave a friend behind.

H I S T O R Y

You may not believe it - but Shinya was born into a very loving family. Living together with his parents - his father is a teacher, his mother the housewife - and his older brother Satori in Osaka, he was raised to become a lovely child, always being kind and diligent.
Shinya spent a lot of time with playing with his brother, who was known for his model-student image and good looks. Little Shin always wanted to become like him as he was really proud of him. Back then, Shin-chan was completely unaffected from anything that could destroy a pure-hearted world view of a child.

Time went by quickly, as he finally entered elementary school. There he began to realize that life didn't work like he has always imagined.
For the first time in his life, Shin-chan learned how it felt when being bullied by others because of his slight girl-like behaviour and looks. He just had simply no luck when he got in the way of some delinquents. However, Shinya did never look for help, though some classmate did care for him.
Always getting bullied and beaten by them, he started to defend himself by also using force - a painful experience, as he was alone among of six delinquent-senpais.
His parents felt sorry and always comforted him when he came back from school with bruises, but since Shinya did never complain about that matter, they thought he just got into some small fighting among little boys. His aniki Satori, however, told him to do martial arts for self-defense.

This was the time Shinya, who now entered middle school, suddenly had a change of image. Taking his self-defense class really serious, his friendly-cute smile turned into a malicious smirk.
School became sort of a battle arena. He didn't care for school grades or education, thus Satori-onii-san had to tutor him. His parents were afraid that he couldn't manage to be promoted to the next grade, but with a lot of work Shinya finally succeeded.
In middle school life got . . . more interesting to him. He became a fan of everything that seemed illegal and /manly/. Imitating some cool delinquent senpais by trying to hit on chicks, smoking or drinking or even watching some yakuza gangs fighting with each other, he lived a life of a delinquent along with some other friends. Beside dyeing his hair and getting an earring without his parents' permission, everything he tried failed. Shinya was still /too nice/, simply, because of his family he truly loves.
But it's okay . . . since he is kind of happy how life goes.

T R I V I A

He has several secrets that could destroy his image. So don't tell the others or he'll reap you.
* Shinya sleeps with Teddy-san. Without him he cannot sleep. His bed is inhabited by stuffed animals btw. Psht!
* He got dumped five times.
* Shinya dyed his hair against his parents' will. (He actually has black hair.)
* Dreams of being a yakuza-boss.
* Once he develops an affection for someone, and even obviously admitting it, he cares for this person with a tendency towards selflessness.
* Often acts like a stalker.
* He gets nosebleeds very easily. LOL
* Doesn't know how to flirt, but at least he tries to look "good". For this, he needs lot of time to do his hair. /facepalm
* He might be too stupid to read the atmosphere.
* Drinks a lot of milk to get taller!
* His evoker is not broken, it just got some scratches during a fight Shinya had.
* Shinya gets sick very easily. That's why he doesn't like cold weather.

<sub>* Gio Maggiacomo - He calls him "Sissy". He is that guy who likes to pick on Shinya's stupidity. Every encounter ends up in a biting contest pointless bickering. Gio is starting to creep him out~.
* Kano Daisuke - Shinya secretely envies him for everything he is. Kanou is nice, intelligent and popular - things he can never be. Thus, he believes that they can't become friends because Kanou is the Kaichou of SC. However, it seems that Shinya's defintion of enmity is not really a bad one.
* Kazuki Mizuyama - Shinya's greatest nightmare. He thinks Headdy is a creeper with that rape face. Shinya believes that he will kick him outta school without batting an eye.
* Hayate Kagurasaki - Due to their extremely different world views they've become enemies. Hayate seems quite dangerous to him since he tries to beat discipline into him . . . with his scary Katana.
* Hui-ying Wu - A total tsundere and Wagner's girlfriend. She might be pretty, but Hui is violent! Shinya always gets smacked by her fan, since he, as stupid as he is, likes to provoke her, no matter in what ways.
* Souta Michio - Sensei Souta is his homeroom teacher and enemy. He hates that stupid TheTENTtion.
* Yuan Lefevre - Guy with gay-ish French accent, Shinya hardly understands. Even though, their first encounter wasn't the most beautiful one, Shinya starts thinking that Yuan is not that wimp, he believed him to be at first glance.
* Goro Takeshi - First year brat guy that tried to get in his way when Shinya caused trouble again. Goro will totally become his new punchbag!
